Prof. Nissan received his DMD and Prosthodontics degrees , from  Tel-Aviv University  School of Dental Medicine.   Prof. Nissan is Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics , and former Director of the  Implantology-Unit.   Prof. Nissan is President of the " Israel Society of Implant-Dentistry", and former  President of the" Israel Prosthodontic Society".   Prof. Nissan is Chairman of the "National Prosthodontics Professional Committee".

An active member of several international dental societies including:

International College of Prosthodontics (ICP), Academy of Osseointegration(AO), International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), International Association of Dental Research (IADR), European Academy of Osseointegration (EAO).

Prof. Nissan serves as International-reviewer of several International Dental Journals including: International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implant,

Journal of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research.

Prof. Nissan is the author of more than 70 international publications on fixed prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

Prof. Nissan has extensive experience in Implant - Prosthodontics. Has lectured on dental implantology internationally. Teaching dental implantology courses on both basic and advanced levels. His fields of research in dental implantology include: biomechanical aspects in implant-prosthodontics, the Importance of Impression techniques in Implant-supported Restorations, implications of extraction site preservation for implant-supported restoration, Attachment incorporation techniques for mandibular implant-supported overdenture, site development and Esthetic outcome of Implant support Prosthesis by the use of Bone Block-Allografts for Atrophic alveolar ridges.
